Founded in 1966, Camping World Inc. is headquartered in Bowling Green, KY. Camping World sells RV accessories and supplies through its Web site, catalogs, and more than 77 stores (including combo stores) in nearly 30 states. Its inventory is usually not found at general merchandise retailers. Camping World also provides repair and service for RVs, including bodywork and repair of interior appliances. Other services offered by Camping World include insurance and refinancing.

Camping World is part of Affinity Group, a repository for all things RV. The direct marketing company, Affinity Group, sells goods and services through its clubs, such as Good Sam, Coast to Coast, President's Club (which provides discounts for the RV crowd), and Golf Card (discounts for green fees). It also runs 30 Camping World retail stores, which sell RV products (air conditioners, sanitation systems, repair items, and furnishings) not usually found in general merchandise stores. In addition, AGI publishes magazines and travel guides, from which it derives subscription fees and ad sales revenue. Former parent, Affinity Group Holding (AGHI), was merged into AGI (surviving corporate entity) in 2004. Chairman Steve Adams is the majority owner of both AGI and, through another entity, RV retailer FreedomRoads.

All leases are guaranteed by FreedomRoads, LLC in addition to CWI, Inc. FreedomRoads, LLC and CWI, Inc are private companies with financials available to view with a signed Letter of Intent and Confidentiality Agreement.
